Background: Mpeasem was the final and largest stop of the outreach, held on Day 2. It was selected using the same community-vetting process as Agric Community and Baobakrom, based on need identified by local stakeholders.
Objectives:
Extend free medical screening to the largest of the three target communities
Address hypertension, high glucose, and eye health among the aged and underprivileged
Support ACE CORPS’ broader goal of building sustainable community health networks
Team Deployed: Same core outreach team from Day 1 (Lead Doctor, Doctors, Public Health Nurses, General Nurses, Eye Specialists, Mental Health Nurses, Volunteers), coordinating with Mpeasem’s Chief, Assemblyman, and Ghana Health Service personnel.
Beneficiaries: 424 total participants screened — the highest turnout of all three communities

Outcome: Despite having the largest population screened, Mpeasem showed proportionally lower hypertension rates but stood out for eye and glucose-related conditions — pointing to different health priorities compared to Agric Community and Baobakrom.
